We have an exciting opportunity for a new colleague to join us! Do you have a passion for developing others? We are looking for a Technical Performance Coach to join our Claims department based in our Leicester office.



The Role


We are looking for a Technical Performance Coach to utilise assessment and feedback, to improve quality and provide technical support to colleagues and leaders through their career framework. You will identify and report on trends within the department that may result in leakage. 


Your remit will include the following:

·         Effective coaching and supporting colleagues to improve technical competency and minimise leakage

·         Supporting the competency framework by completing file monitors adhering to set SLA’s

·         Delivering specialist subject matter training to Colleagues

·         Ensuring colleagues’ adherence to set referral criteria

·         Ensuring technical and market updates are understood, that the knowledge has been embedded                    within the department and that the department lead strategies put in place are supported.

·         Striving to be a subject matter expert in third party claims over £25k

·         Supporting Team Leaders in any ad hoc requirements or business needs

·         Role modelling behaviours

·         Supporting change and colleagues reaction to change with positivity and enthusiasm

·         Be an expert in department process and the Hastings Way

·         Maintaining a small portfolio of personal injury claims

·         Providing support as a Subject Matter Expert to other areas of the business as required


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

·         Third party personal injury claims experience is highly desirable

·         Be able to engage and coach individuals on a 121 basis and provide coaching in a manner that will empower the individual to understand the decision making process as well as the outcome

·         Be able to plan and prioritise in order to consistently achieve targets

·         Has ability to deliver results to challenging time frames

·         Flexible and adaptable, able to embrace and champion change at short notice

·         Influencing and decision making skills

·         Able to prepare and deliver presentations to small and large groups

·         Good MS office skills

·         Insurance Based Qualification (Cert CII etc.) preferred



·         Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent

·         Coaching/Mentoring qualification preferred
