At Hastings Direct we offer a three-year Finance Graduate programme based at our Head Office in Bexhill. The programme gives our graduates an excellent chance to experience working in four different finance teams, as well as all the support they need in order to gain an ACCA qualification.
Our graduates are also exposed to our full range of finance operations, including Financial Accounts, Financial Reporting, Shared Services, Management Reporting & Planning and Tax. By the end of the programme, we aim to equip our graduates with the skills, tools and experience to specialise in one of the four areas they have worked in.

Joining Hastings Direct after the completion of my degree is undoubtedly the best decision I’ve made. The well-structured graduated scheme has allowed me to gain experience in many teams within Finance whilst supporting my study towards the ACCA qualification for my personal development. We are also challenged to reach our potential with a methodical, step by step process involving workshops, presentations, mentoring and team building exercises. Within only 6 months of my first rotation I was given the opportunity to attend a meeting with senior leaders from both within and outside of the Finance department. I was also given flexibility within the scheme to choose my rotations that my skills were mostly suited to. The colleague driven culture within the organisation provides a healthy and positive work environment, one that is challenging but also empathic towards your development and wellbeing.

I have been on the Finance Graduate programme for 7 months working in the Financial Accounts Team. My first rotation was extremely rewarding - working on a variety of projects and regularly cooperating with senior leaders. It has been a great opportunity to develop my technical knowledge and understanding of the wider business. One of the best things about the Finance Graduate programme is being part of the agile and fast paced culture; there is always something new and exciting. Moreover, I receive great study support for my company funded ACCA qualification – it’s the perfect platform to kickstart my career!
