Our large team of diverse people is uniquely set up to manage the end-to-end chain of delivery with capabilities that include project management, PMO (Project Management Office) for governance and reporting, business analysts, product owners, developers (digital and back end), solution architects, testers, automation engineers, power developers, data engineers, quality assurance, release management and data performance insights.
We have a well-established change framework and much of our delivery is agile. We continue to work to make ourselves better and quicker all the time, with regular monthly releases for our back-end systems and digital or front-end releases happening frequently and in the flow of business.
It’s a dynamic, flexible, fun and constantly changing environment. You’ll enjoy the scope to make a real difference for our customers, influence our company, benefit the communities we work in and have some fun along the way! You’ll thrive here if you’re collaborative, passionate about delivering change, enjoy being challenged and you want to work with great people.
Having embraced hybrid working as a company, where you work is flexible, but we do have regular touch points where we get together and have some fun. We are a great team, with great people who enjoy doing our best in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
We’re continuously investing in our team – always growing, looking for talent and encouraging our team to develop. From apprenticeships and graduate schemes, to supporting technical certifications and qualifications, we have dedicated time for personal development sessions, and we actively look to provide opportunities for our team to move within and across capabilities.
Our colleagues also have access to a variety of technical training resources to support development including Guidewire Learning, PluralSight, O’Reilly, Coursera and Microsoft ESI Learning, as well as non-technical, professional and personal development resources.
We use leading edge technology, especially in our digital capabilities to set us apart from others…
I joined Hastings in June 2022 after my completion of a Data Engineering bootcamp organised by Generation UK. As a new joiner to the field and to the company, I am very grateful for the trust and continuous support given by my colleagues.
My day typically starts with going through emails and understanding the data environment status. It's then followed by a team scrum where we provide an update on our tasks and seek support from others if needed. The rest of the day will be a combination of problem-solving, meeting with different stakeholders, learning new skills and so on.
I would definitely recommend Hastings to anyone who's looking for a supportive working environment. The fact that the leaders put in a lot of effort for Hastings to really live the 4Cs culture is a huge inspiration too.
Not all of our teams operate from all of our offices. Below you can see the offices in which these teams are based.
