Digital and Change at Hastings Direct

Hastings Direct is an agile business whose success has been driven by change. We’re the team that helps the business to manage change and ensure that it’s implemented effectively across all departments. This involves working closely with people across the business as well as with external partners on a range of projects.

We’re an open and friendly team that includes a mix of business analysts and project managers. As a business analyst, you’ll focus on the detail, identifying business requirements, producing initiation documents and ensuring projects achieve their goal. We look for project managers who can motivate and lead a team to deliver a project within deadline and budget. As well as being a strong facilitator, you’ll need the presence to report to senior managers.

Most of all, whether you’re a business analyst or a project manager you’ll need to the ability to recognise colleagues’ strengths and weaknesses, and coach them through different challenges when required.

What attracted me to Hastings Direct was how they recognise and reward employees for their hard work and the potential to progress your career. The nature of our team means my workload’s continuously changing, which keeps me engaged. I enjoy helping the individual teams and projects and gaining insights that boost my knowledge. But it’s the people who make it such a great place to work. Everyone’s approachable - even senior managers - which gives it a good vibe.
