We ensure customers know who we are, and why Hastings Direct is the better choice; we develop our brand communications strategy, our visual identity, and tone to deliver a consistent brand experience.
We’re responsible for delivering a market-leading customer experience when customers want to buy a new policy online – either through a PCW (price comparison website) or directly from our website. We use web analytic data and various research methods to help us understand why customers don’t buy and use this to drive changes that make their experience better, ensuring we drive the right commercial outcomes at the same time.
Our team is responsible for creating great app-first digital journeys to help our customers manage all their needs 24/7. This is key to Hastings becoming the best and biggest digital insurer.
We provide the business with a centre-of-excellence that defines, designs and validates digital solutions. We generate insight through user and market research and combine experience design with data and analytics to create brilliant digital products for our customers.
We’re responsible for communications at every point in a customer’s journey. This includes business-led and transactional communications, as well as marketing-led CRM (Customer Relationship Management) messaging. We make sure everything we write is in a clear and consistent tone of voice and our focus is to acquire, educate, grow, inform and retain our customers.

I chose Hastings because I wanted to work for a company
where I could progress professionally while still being in a welcoming and friendly
environment. After six months here, I am pleased with my decision to join
Hastings Direct and the team I am part of. With exciting and interesting
projects, there is not only a lot to learn, but there is also room for growth, innovation
and a place to bring and discuss new ideas. My current position enables me to develop
my knowledge and career at Hastings while also inspiring me to keep improving and
feel motivated every day.
I design customer experiences and interactions that provide our customers with the best digital experience possible. I work predominately with the Digital Sales Team to understand problems our customers face when buying a policy from us and to explore opportunity spaces for improvement. I have worked at Hastings for nearly six years; I am continuously grateful for the support for my development and progression. I work with so many brilliant, intelligent and kind people who make working for Hastings an absolute pleasure.
I joined Hastings Direct because I was looking for a company that offered strong career development, coupled with a great ethos and in an ideal location for me. I knew Hastings Direct as a business was developing at a rapid pace and wanted to be a part of their journey. After nearly nine years, I haven’t looked back and am still developing my skills having worked on some exciting and challenging projects. My role currently offers the perfect balance of creativity and technical thinking to keep me motivated. I’m lucky to have worked with some great people here and am able to learn from them. The atmosphere is professional and focused but you can also have fun.
