As a team, we work across a range of cloud-based platforms in multiple languages (R, SQL, Python) and we’re always looking to broaden and tap into the wide range of talent we have in house. All colleagues are provided with a Microsoft surface laptop and the essential equipment to make working at home as comfortable and productive as possible.
We know that flexibility is crucial to our colleagues but also that being in the office has its advantages too! Hybrid working is based on colleagues working one day a week in any of our offices (with the option to be office-based full-time if desired). We also recognise that our colleagues have commitments so we are open to discussing how we can adjust your working pattern to suit your needs.

I joined Hastings Direct as a graduate in the Risk Pricing team in 2020 with no prior industry experience. Since joining, I received clear guidance and development opportunities that enabled me to progress from Junior to Senior Analyst and ultimately to manager. Within Risk Pricing, there is a strong focus on unlocking everyone’s potential and encouraging skill development through a wide range of opportunities.

I joined Hastings in 2024 as a Pricing Manager in the Retail Pricing Team. I work specifically with two of our smaller products, bike and van - this opens up a variety of opportunities to work closely with many areas of the business.
Having worked previously in large and start-up insurers, I really feel like Hastings blends the best of both worlds. We get things done, and it's awesome to get involved in different projects in a fast growing yet established insurer.
