This two-year programme is built to enable you to become a future Hastings leader.
The programme will consist of an initial 12- month rotation in our Claims and Counter Fraud Operations team, which you’ll learn our processes and ways of deploying change. After that we’ll work with you to understand which other parts of the team you may value working directly with. You’ll have an active voice in your own progression and career path.
Our operational teams own the claims journey and are the primary points of contact for customers, third parties and representatives; from the point we are notified of an incident right through to handling complex elements relating to injury or counter fraud.
Our Commercial teams are at the heart of our claim's strategic endeavours and Commercial deals. You’ll spend time with our commercial teams in Accidental Damage, Bodily Injury and Property Damage. You’ll get exposure to supplier relationship and end this experience with a good grasp of everything Commercial.
You’ll spend time understanding Audits objective role within the department and their wider impact to the business. You’ll also learn how the coaching function works in an operational environment to drive the right performance outcomes.
Our change teams coordinate a portfolio of activity from across the function; from system changes to prioritisation of broader change across our operational, commercial or supplier landscape.
These teams ensure we have the right processes in place consistently across our department, as well as the appropriate governance framework and outcomes that are in place and are adhered to. You’ll gain a better understanding of risk assessment and management, including incident coverage.
To support you in your programme, we offer dedicated leadership development support and coaching to build your skills and business acumen, along with regular formal training to support wider awareness of company, industry and regulatory requirements.
You’ll be enrolled on our early careers development programme, providing you, a suite of bespoke development which develops the strengths that we know graduates need to be successful at Hastings Direct. It also gives you the opportunity to network and meet others in similar programmes across the business.

This will depend on the programme you are joining. We do typically ask that you are within commutable distance to one of our offices so you benefit from in-person support when you join, further information on which office can be found within the job advert.
