Chukwudi (Chuddy) is a Customer Care Representative and has been at Hastings Direct for the past four years. Chuddy plays an important role helping customers get the best outcome, something that he finds fulfilling and rewarding in his role.

In his blog below, Chuddy shares his journey at Hastings and his favourite parts about the company.  

I initially started as a Customer Representative in 2019, it was an entry-level role working in the Renewals team talking to customers about their policies at the time of renewal. Since then, I’ve been able to progress into my current role in the Customer Care team which is something that I love. It gives me the opportunity to help our vulnerable customers and each day I feel fulfilled knowing I’ve been able to help someone at their vulnerable time. 

All the support you need 

My journey so far has been amazing and rewarding and I was able to progress because, with hard work and the right attitude, you’ll get all the support you need to be able to develop yourself at Hastings. Since the start of my career here, I’ve had extensive training and over the years, I’ve gained so much knowledge which has been instrumental to my progression.  

Fun and lively workplace 

There are many things I enjoy at Hastings Direct, aside from the endless opportunities to dream and achieve your goals. Our 4Cs culture (colleague, customer, company, and community) is one of the things that has kept me committed to the company. There’s also a great support system here - I’ve been fortunate enough to meet a lot of great people and fantastic colleagues who make the working environment a fun and lively place to work in. We also have team engagements in and outside of the workplace - making Hastings a place where you get the job done and have fun doing it – but also community days which everyone looks forward to as we get to do fulfilling charity work in our local communities.
