I studied Accounting with Spanish at the University of Hertfordshire. After I graduated, I relocated from London to Eastbourne.
I started the scheme in July 2016 and I am on my final placement. I have worked in different departments including Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis and Financial Reporting. I am currently in a Projects role where I am working directly with senior leaders in the company and which will help me to develop leadership skills and gain an understanding of the wider business.
The scheme allows graduates the opportunity to obtain a wide range of work and experience through the rotations. Each graduate will have four rotations which cover different areas of Finance. The rotations are tailored for each individual depending on the strengths and development areas, however each rotation allows different skills to be developed.
There is good study support whereby Hastings Direct pays for the ACCA professional exams and allows the graduate to attend study courses during the working week.
Current graduates are also allowed to be involved with the recruitment of new graduates which further increases skills.
