A typical day
Procurement Category Manager, Steve, tells us what a graduate can expect. “Each day in Procurement is very different. The successful applicant will need to manage their time effectively, ensuring that any projects or priorities are progressed in a timely manner. Procurement is never dull and full of new challenges and opportunities to grow and develop your skill sets as a procurement professional. A typical day would be self-led, including reviewing contracts, proposals, and assessing the commercial value. You may also need to create reports to highlight commercial benefits and risks of such proposals to business owners. Between this, you will be meeting with key stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues to understand business needs, strategies and implement contracts which can support these”
