We’re fortunate to be in a position to offer new opportunities for people during these challenging times and our Recruitment team have spent the past year interviewing candidates online and helping new colleagues settle in remotely.
Taking this one step further, we’re hosting our first Virtual Job Fair on 31st March as we continue to bring great talent into our contact centres. So we asked the Recruitment team to tell us what potential new recruits can expect from the event…
Ellen:
“I’m really excited to host our first Virtual Job Fair and have the opportunity to share with lots of potential candidates what it’s like to work at Hastings Direct and the Customer Representative roles available in our Retention and Customer Service teams. This includes a Customer Representative Apprenticeship and, for the first time, we have limited number of work-from-home positions in the Retention and Claims teams for those who live within a non-commutable distance from one of our offices.”
Ethan:
“As well as covering what it’s like to work as part of the contact centres teams, during the event we’ll cover lots of other aspects of life at HD. Everything from our reward and benefits structures, wellbeing approach and our focus on diversity and inclusion, so candidates get a rounded view of what it’s like to be part of Team Hastings. We hope the event will equip people for a great application, so we’ll also provide suggestions to guide people on how best to prepare for an interview with us.”
Karolina:
“Sadly, most of us know great people whose jobs may have been impacted by the pandemic and its effect on the economy. Following the decision by Hastings to offer home-based Retention roles, as well as some in claims, we are now in a position to look further afield than Leicester and Bexhill-on-Sea for great candidates. During the Job Fair, we’ll explain more about how training for the role will work and, looking ahead, the career progression opportunities that we nurture within the business.”
