I left Hastings Direct in August 2017. However I soon realised I wanted to return as I missed the camaraderie and support of my colleagues as well as the culture of the organisation. Hastings Direct has always looked to do the right thing for colleagues, customers and communities local to its offices and I was delighted when they welcomed me back in December 2017.
Since I returned, it feels like I’ve never been away! Everyone has welcomed me back with open arms and the relationships I had left behind picked up exactly where they left off. In the short time I was away I also have noticed some changes. Hastings Direct now has a greater choice of shift patterns for call centre colleagues, has created ways to improve colleagues’ work-life balance and increased the benefits it offers. My role as Operational Support Manager gives me flexibility, which means I get quality time with my son. In addition, the support I get from my leader and my colleagues is excellent and helps me perform to the best of my ability.
Now I’m back, I’m keen to continue to develop my career at Hastings Direct and make the most of the opportunities that exist. The future here is bright and I’m excited to be back and part of the Hastings Direct journey and its continued success and growth.
